Datasets & Joins

In Datasets and Joins, you can select two datasets and then join the datasets using any one of the given option.

  1. The Current dataset field displays the current dataset from which you have opened Data Fusion.
  2. Click the Select dataset field and select the dataset that you want to join with the current dataset.

In the Data fusion, you can join the data using the following options:

  • Left Join: Returns all rows from the left dataset, and the matching rows from the right dataset. The result is NULL from the right dataset, if there is no match.
  • Right Join: Returns all rows from the right dataset, and the matching rows from the left dataset. The result is NULL from the left dataset, if there is no match.
  • Inner Join: Creates a new result table by combining column values of two dataset (left & right) based upon the join-predicate. The query compares each row of left dataset with each row of right dataset to find all pairs of rows which satisfy the join-predicate.
  • Union: Combines result sets of two or more SELECT statements into a single result set without returning any duplicate rows.
