Understanding Tellius Search
Discover the power of natural search with Tellius, where advanced technology meets everyday language
What is natural search?
Natural search refers to user interactions with a system using everyday spoken language, akin to executing a Google search. This contrasts with traditional query languages that employ a restricted vocabulary.
Understanding and processing natural search queries, which encompass a broad vocabulary, is a complex task. Tellius has addressed this challenge by developing a sophisticated search engine capable of interpreting natural language.
How Tellius handles natural search?
Our Search module integrates the following advanced aspects and empowers users with a highly intuitive, efficient, and responsive search experience.
Interactive search bar
In Tellius, the Search bar is designed to be highly interactive. Each word you type is automatically transformed into a color-highlighted token.
Each word in your query is recognized as an individual token. These tokens are interactive elements
By treating each word as a separate entity, the system can more accurately identify and present results that are most relevant to your specific query.
Click on any token to explore and select alternative suggestions, effectively refining or altering your query for a more targeted analysis.
Deploying NLU and NLP
Natural Language Understanding (NLU) streamlines your search by understanding and classifying your query's purpose, ensuring that the most relevant results are displayed.
Natural Language Processing (NLP) converts your natural language questions into a format the database can understand, using advanced technology to recognize and fix any errors in your query.
Auto-correcting queries
The search bar is equipped to understand queries written in natural, conversational language.
Tellius smartly interprets your queries, automatically adjusting them into a format it can process.
The search engine identifies and suggests the next possible keyword to offer an intuitive and efficient search experience.
There’s no fixed format - even if your query isn't phrased perfectly or fully formed, Tellius is designed to grasp your intent. This flexibility means you can phrase your questions as you would in a conversation, and still expect precise, accurate results.
Auto inference
In addition to displaying the relevant charts for each query, Tellius goes a step further. It actively runs insights for certain types of queries, making your analysis richer and more meaningful.
Automatically infers the intent of your question, choosing the most suitable format for displaying results—charts, tables, or insights.
Identifies and provides the most appropriate visual representation (like pie charts, bar charts, line charts, maps) for your query, accommodating various ways of question formulation.
Active Speech Recognition (ASR) integration
Tellius incorporates ASR technology that allows users to vocalize their queries instead of typing them, facilitating a more natural and accessible search process.
If you pause, break, or your query is incomplete, Tellius patiently waits. Once you resume and finish your query, it seamlessly interprets the entire question and generates the analysis you need.
Efficiency with Fast Query Engine (FQE)
Built into Tellius architecture, the FQE is designed for rapid search and visualization. It utilizes caching, indexing, and partitioning to ensure efficient data access patterns and low latency.
