# Patch 6.2.0.5

Tellius 6.2.0.5 delivers a comprehensive redesign of the **Settings** experience, the **Personalized Tags** capability for Vizpad filters, active session management, and the ability to cancel long-running queries. This patch also addresses Vizpad refinements across null filter handling, cascading filter behavior, switch metric stability, Sankey chart drill-down accuracy, and export reliability.

## 🚀 New Features

### Tag-based personalized filters for Vizpads

Different users often need to see different slices of the same Vizpad: a West region manager wants West data, an East manager wants East data, and so on. [Personalized Tags](https://help.tellius.com/vizpads-explore/tag-based-personalized-filters) let admins set those default filter values once, so each user automatically sees their own data when they open any Vizpad. No more clicking the same filter every morning.

The key concept is a **tag:** an abstract business concept (like "Region") that can be mapped to every column representing that concept across multiple datasets, even when the column names differ (`region`, `store_region`, `mkt_region`). Define the tag once and it applies everywhere.

* An admin creates a tag under **Settings → Identity & Access → Personalized Tags**, specifying a name, data type (String or Number), and description.
* The tag is then assigned to the relevant column in each dataset under **Data → Prepare → Metadata → Edit**, using the **Personalization** dropdown.
* The same tag can be assigned to columns across multiple datasets; a single column carries one tag at a time.
* Per-user or per-group values are configured under **Settings → Identity & Access → Users (or Groups)**, via the **Personalized Filters** option in the three-dot menu.
* Admins select a tag, choose an operator (Equal or In), and enter one or more values.
* For large-scale rollouts, the **Bulk Personalized Filter Upload** wizard accepts CSV, XLSX, and XLS files through a three-step flow: Upload File, Map Users, and Map Columns. Multiple values in a single cell are separated with a pipe (`|`). A maximum of 50 values per tag per user or group is supported.

**How it works at runtime.** When a user opens a Vizpad that has a filter on any tagged column, Tellius automatically applies that user's personalized values. Users can toggle personalization off in view mode to see the Vizpad's original filter values instead. Future Vizpads built on future datasets inherit personalization automatically the moment someone tags the relevant column.

**How this differs from Row-Level Policy.** RLP is a security control; it restricts what data a user is allowed to see, enforced server-side. Personalized Tags pre-apply useful default filters so users see their own data without clicking, but users can clear or modify these filters at any time. The two coexist: RLP locks down what's accessible, personalization makes the default view convenient within what's accessible.
{% endhint %}

### Active Login Sessions Management

Admins can now view and manage all active login sessions across the platform under **Settings → Administration → Active Login Sessions**.

<figure><img src="/files/crcKbdlBfY6IjTpxqo4T" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The session management table displays each active session's type (Dashboard or Extension), an embed link with a one-click **Copy** action, the time remaining before session expiry, and a **Log out** action to terminate that specific session. This gives admins direct visibility into who is logged in, from where, for how long, and the ability to terminate individual sessions immediately when a password reset, account action, or security concern requires it.

## 📈 Enhancements

### Settings Redesign

The **Settings** page has been completely redesigned with a modern, modular layout. Every settings category now lives in its own dedicated module and category with improved navigation, search, and inline help links.

<figure><img src="/files/lhzi4vAs9d8RADGfO3kq" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Every page within the redesigned **Settings** module now includes a help icon (?) in the page header. Clicking the icon opens the corresponding help documentation page for that specific settings module, providing contextual guidance without leaving the current screen.

### Cancel Running Queries

Under **Notifications → Advanced → Synchronous jobs**, users can now cancel a long-running query directly from the Vizpad interface. When a visualization is loading, a cancel action is available to terminate the underlying query and free up resources, rather than waiting for it to complete or navigating away.

### System Health Monitoring

A new system health monitoring surface is available under **Settings → Administration → System Health**, providing admins with visibility into platform health metrics and operational status.

The dashboard is organized into four panels:

* **Current Compute & Memory Utilization.** Displays live CPU utilization as a percentage alongside the total number of cores available.
* **Total Storage Utilization.** A donut chart shows total storage consumed against the available capacity, expressed in both GB and percentage.
* **User Content.** A snapshot of objects owned by the current user across the platform.
* **Running Jobs.** Displays all currently executing jobs in real time.&#x20;

### Custom Date Picker Component

The time period filter in Vizpads has been redesigned with a structured, multi-level interface that gives users precise control over date selection across every granularity.

<figure><img src="/files/2ISxfgiETq8tRAfQDiSN" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Granularity tabs.** The top-level tabs (Days, Weeks, Months, Quarters, and Years) set the resolution for the filter. Selecting a tab adjusts the available options, calendar highlighting, and quick-select presets to match that granularity.

**Three selection modes.** Within each granularity, three sub-tabs provide different ways to define the date range:

* **Relative.** Predefined rolling windows anchored to the latest date in the data. Options adapt by granularity. A status label at the bottom confirms the active selection.
* **To Date.** Cumulative ranges from the start of the current or prior period through the latest date (for example, week to date, last year to date etc). The calendar highlights the resolved range visually.
* **Custom Range.** A From/To date picker with explicit calendar selection. Quick-select buttons provide common presets that auto-populate the From and To fields.

A dual-month calendar on the right side of the dialog highlights the resolved date range with color shading. The footer displays three reference points: the Available Dates range in the dataset, Today's Date, and the Last Refresh timestamp, so users always know what data they are filtering against and how current it is.

### Enhanced Filter BV Selection in Vizpad

The filter panel in Vizpads now includes a **"Show All BVs"** toggle. When enabled, the BV list expands beyond the Business Views actively used by charts on the page to include every Business View available in the workspace. Users can select any BV from the expanded list, choose a column or common column from that BV, and apply it as a filter, even if no chart on the current Vizpad uses that Business View.&#x20;

This is particularly useful for cross-functional dashboards where a filter dimension (for example, a region or product line column) lives in a BV that is not directly powering any visible chart but still needs to be applied as a global filter context.

### Connector Visibility Management

A new Connectors page is available under **Settings → Modules → Data → Connectors**, giving admins centralized control over which data source connectors are visible to users. Each connector has an individual enable/disable toggle, organized into categories.

<figure><img src="/files/1cslx0aQKmDtbaitJrM3" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Disabling a connector hides it from the **Data → Connect** page for all users, reducing clutter for organizations that only use a subset of supported sources.

### **Spark Public IP Discovery Configuration**

Under **Settings → Modules → Data → Connector Settings**, a new **Spark Public IP Discovery** section allows admins to control whether Tellius discovers the public IP addresses of Spark driver and executor processes at startup. When enabled, the discovered IPs can be whitelisted on data source firewalls to allow connectivity.

<figure><img src="/files/A5t613SaIPb3GIVjiMIO" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The discovery URL is configurable for environments with custom networking. Admins running air-gapped or private-network deployments can disable this entirely.

## 🛠️ Minor Fixes

#### Kaiya

1. Improved Kaiya analysis and data label behavior for more consistent chart generation.
2. Kaiya Apps now supports asynchronous creation, allowing the generation process to continue in the background while users navigate elsewhere.

#### Vizpads - Filters

2. Ensured that null values are handled consistently across V1 and V2 filter implementations, with proper backward compatibility between classic and modern Vizpads.
3. Addressed an issue where dropdown values were not displayed for pinned filters using the Equal and Does Not Equal operators.
4. Resolved an issue where non-cascading values appeared in cascading filters at both the global and tab level. Cascading filters now correctly display only the cascaded subset.
5. Addressed an issue where rearranging the order of filter dropdowns (for example, Area and Region) would revert to the original sequence after saving.
6. Resolved an issue where using the "Select All" option in a chart filter search selected all available values in the column rather than only the values matching the current search substring.
7. Addressed an issue where clearing a filter search selection continued to display the previously searched results, even after closing the dropdown or changing the operator.
8. Improved personalization filter behavior, addressing UI state management when toggling personalized values on and off in view mode.
9. Resolved an issue where control filter visualizations were not displayed on certain Vizpads.
10. The Series formatting option has been restored in the Chart Format panel. Users can configure series-specific colors, styles, and display properties for multi-series charts.
11. Pinned filter value ranges now synchronize with the filtered data, ensuring that the available range reflects the actual data boundaries after other filters have been applied.
12. The filter icon on individual visualizations is now always visible regardless of chart resolution or size

#### Vizpads - Charts and Layout

10. Refined the switch chart dropdown interaction for a smoother selection experience.
11. Addressed an issue where the second switch metric application could revert to the default metric instead of applying the newly selected one.
12. Resolved a distorted layout in table chart rendering for territory demand-style reports.
13. Ensured that data label colors inside pie charts match the series colors, consistent with classic Vizpad behavior.
14. Improved text overlap handling in chart labels and titles across all chart configurations.
15. Chart pagination limits can now be configured with a default value, ensuring consistent data display thresholds across visualizations.

#### Vizpads - Conditional Formatting

15. Resolved an issue where regex conditions with leading wildcard characters (`*`) in conditional formatting produced an unexpected state. Regex conditions now process correctly across all pattern types.

#### Vizpads - Drill

16. Addressed an issue where Sankey chart drill-down displayed dates on both sides after pagination, rather than the expected dimension-to-date mapping.

#### Vizpads - Pivot Tables

17. Resolved an issue where Grand Total values did not update to reflect currently applied filters.

#### Vizpads - Export

18. Resolved an issue where Vizpad Excel and CSV export did not complete for certain chart configurations.

#### Vizpads - Sharing and Cloning

19. Improved the cloning experience when duplicating another user's Vizpad, with a clearer message guiding the user through the process.

#### Vizpads - Miscellaneous

20. Resolved an issue where chart rendering did not complete when applying a column-level filter with date mapping on a Date Default column.
21. Addressed an issue where the absolute percentage change popup was using a legacy query path instead of the current one.

#### Data - Business Views and Datasets

22. Resolved an issue where clicking on a dataset in the Business View tab redirected to a different dataset than the one selected.
23. Addressed an issue where searching for tables inside folders on the Data → Prepare page did not return results.
24. Resolved an issue where expanding archived data after a table search produced an unexpected state.
25. Ensured that scripted datasets shared in view mode now correctly share the underlying datasets with the recipient user.
26. Addressed an issue where the Edit SQL option was not available for datasets imported from Dremio sources.

#### Data - Sharing

27. Resolved an issue where the Share tab on the Data page closed immediately on open, preventing any sharing operations.

#### Vizpads - Notifications

28. Ensured that the updated date displayed in Vizpad refresh schedule notifications reflects the correct timestamp.

#### Administration

29. Resolved an issue where sorting users by role in Administration → Users did not produce the expected order.
30. Fixed the updating of browser tab title to reflect the current page or module,

#### Authentication

30. Ensured that session tokens are properly invalidated upon password reset, requiring re-authentication on all active sessions for that account.
