In Tellius, When you load your dataset, you can view the summary and statistics of each column of the dataset.

In the statistics, you can view the outliers in a column. These outliers are the records that are extremely deviated from the mean of all the other records in the column.

The Summary and Statistics panel provides you option to handle the outliers by replacing the values with appropriate option.

  1. In the outlier chart, click the particular outlier data point that you want to handle.
The Replace dialog box appear for the selected outlier.
  2. In the dialog box, select any of the following option:
    • Drop rows: Delete the rows for the outlier.
    • Mean: Replace the outlier value with the Mean value.
    • Zero: Replace the outlier value with zero.
    • Treat as String: Consider the outlier value as a string instead of a numeric value.
    • Fixed value: Replace the outlier value with a fixed value. When you select the option, the text field appear where you can specify the numeric value.
  3. After selecting the appropriate option, click the Proceed button.
