Patch 6.1.0.2
6.1.0.2 patch includes enhancements across Kaiya, embedded analytics, and data setup. You’ll see improvements in Business View selection and context handling, response streaming, clearer clarifications, along with updates to connector organization and admin settings to simplify setup and configuration.
📈 Enhancements
Improved connector organization on the “Add new connectors” page for easier browsing. Connectors are now grouped into clearer categories as follows, making it faster to find the right data source during setup.
Cloud Data Warehouses
Relational Databases
Lakehouses
Object Stores
APIs & Integrations
Others (FTP etc.)

Under Settings → Advanced → Connector Configuration, Redshift S3 staging parameters can now be managed securely. SuperUsers can configure staging keys and bucket settings without needing deployment-level configuration changes.

Under Settings → Application Settings → Kaiya → Add Configuration, added support for “LLMaaS” LLM model in LLM Configurations. When selected, admins can securely enter a Client Secret (masked like the API key) across all configuration sections (Default, Coding, GPT-5, etc.), and it persists correctly on save.

Under Data → Business View → Edit Business View, added a new field for Kaiya Context Description in addition to the Business View Description.

Kaiya now asks clearer follow-up questions when your request needs additional context (especially for multi-step flows or comparisons between facts), helping ensure the output matches exactly what you meant before it proceeds.
Kaiya now uses your selected Business View’s context when deciding whether Web Search is needed, reducing unnecessary web lookups and keeping answers more focused on your data and request.
Kaiya can now automatically pick the most relevant Business View (BV) for a question, so users get the right data context without manual BV switching.
🛠️ Minor fixes
In addition to the Kaiya page, the voice mode icon will be displayed in the home page, when Voice Mode is enabled for the environment. Get started with voice conversations directly from Home without navigating into Kaiya.
Under Data → Prepare → Data → Edit → SQL/Python, fixed an issue where Kaiya-generated code was not visible in the SQL/Python Transform editor.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where clarification responses didn’t appear immediately in the conversation screen.
Under Data → Business View → Edit Business View, fixed an issue where the Kaiya Context section was shown in the Edit/Create Business View dialog, when Kaiya was disabled.
Under Data → Prepare → Data → Edit → SQL/Python, fixed the overlapping issue with the Run Validation and Apply buttons in the SQL/Python Transform editor.
Under Settings → Advanced → Modules, admins can now disable Kaiya visibility across Tellius, while retaining access through embed URLs when required.
Kaiya now streams responses as they’re generated, so you can start reading results immediately instead of waiting for the full answer to finish.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where agentic workflows sometimes skip the “ask the user for input” step, when it was defined in the workflow.
Embedded views now hide Master View controls (like Revert Changes, top action panel, and Time Resolution) when launched via POST message, giving a cleaner embedded experience focused only on the visualization.
Improved date filtering behavior for more consistent results across Kaiya workflows.
Kaiya now generates more accurate SQL and applies Reflection improvements more efficiently.
In Kaiya, improved reliability for advanced SQL generation, including queries that include comments and multi-step logic.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue with selective PowerPoint export, especially after cloning, changing measures/dimensions, or switching chart types.
If AutoBV is not enabled, Kaiya now alerts you to select a Business View before submitting a question.
In Kaiya, we’ve optimized initialization steps to reduce startup time and improve overall responsiveness after deployment or restart.
Sensitive configuration values are now protected with improved encryption across Tellius.
In advanced pivot tables of Vizpads, fixed the issue with displaying totals especially when you add compare filters to measures (when “Show as rows” is turned off).
Under Data → Prepare → Metadata, improved consistency of Kaiya-generated display names across datasets.
