Patch 6.1.0.4

In 6.1.0.4, we’ve improved the things you feel most day-to-day: more consistent Kaiya and Vizpad exports, smarter citations that take you directly to the source document, and smoother multi-chart chat experiences. We've also added a few UI and admin fixes across Tellius.

📈 Enhancements

Export PPTs in your style

PowerPoint exports now automatically use the template configured in Settings → Application Settings → Styles, so every deck reflects your approved branding by default. Admins can upload custom PPT templates and set one as default to standardize formatting across all exports. They can also preview the templates before applying them and enable Dark Mode to view the exported PPTs in dark theme.

Smart citations for Kaiya responses

In Kaiya responses, the citations for unstructured analysis now link you back to the original source document (in addition to the extracted snippet), making it easier to verify context and trace insights to the source. Links intelligently open the document in the source when supported (e.g., Google Drive/SharePoint/Gong) or download the file when direct linking isn’t available.

🛠️ Minor fixes

  1. In Kaiya, fixed an issue where the page loading when multiple charts were rendered within a single conversation. Kaiya now handles multiple chart outputs more efficiently, ensuring a stable and smooth chat experience.

  2. In Vizpads, fixed an issue with drilling into a week-ending date from a table.

  3. In Vizpads, multi-select control filters now auto-expand the “Selected” section on load when saved values exist, so users can immediately see what’s applied without manually expanding the list (including the “select all” case).

  4. Improved PDF export for Vizpads to prevent chart and table content from being cropped, ensuring full visibility of columns and visual elements in emailed reports.

  5. Added helpful tooltips for the export options in Kaiya responses.

  6. Fixed an issue where publishing a Business View could fail if multiple datasets contained columns with the same original name.

  7. In Insights and Vizpads, fixed an issue where clicking on charts within Trend and Comparison drivers did not display the drill-down popup as expected.

  8. The “Include report” attachment for refresh notification is optional, and email notifications are sent for all refresh outcomes (Success, Partial Success, Failure/Error/Timeout). You can still notify recipients even when you choose not to attach the report.

  9. Failure reasons are now shown for failed synchronous jobs, so admins and end users can quickly understand what went wrong (for example, missing columns or access/permission issues) without needing to check logs.

  10. Improved exporting Kaiya responses, so downloads start consistently and success messages reflect the actual file delivery.

  11. Improved stability for Kaiya Deep Insights by resolving a rare workflow error that prevented some analyses from completing.

  12. In Vizpads, table exports are now clearer. CSV and Excel export behavior has been aligned, and the export dialog better reflects what will be downloaded.

  13. Row Level Policies applied to user groups are now shown in read-only view for admins who don’t have access to the referenced Business View.

  14. Fixed an issue where Business Views created via ZIP import weren’t automatically eligible for Fast Query Engine (FQE) as expected. Imported Business Views now follow the system default behavior for FQE without requiring manual intervention.

  15. We’ve resolved several conversational accuracy and context issues to improve conversational continuity for multi-turn analysis:

  • Kaiya no longer re-asks for clarification on terms that have already been resolved within the same conversation.

  • When a term has an associated learning/synonym (e.g., “doses” → “Total Doses”), Kaiya now correctly interprets it without triggering redundant clarification.

  • Improved context handling to prevent metric confusion across unrelated follow-up questions.

  • Addressed issues impacting max date calculations to ensure consistent and accurate time-based responses.

  1. Resolved an issue where enabling session recording could impact Business View selection and interaction within Vizpads.

  2. Kaiya now delivers consistent and accurate Point-in-Time results across different time configurations. Whether your analysis uses resolution (e.g., yearly), timeline filters (e.g., last 3 years), or a combination of both, Kaiya correctly returns the latest relevant data within the selected timeframe.

  3. Kaiya questions and responses now correctly honors your custom week-ending date (e.g., Friday) when generating weekly queries.

  4. In Kaiya responses, weekly charts now display the Week Ending Date (e.g., Dec 03, 2023) instead of week-number labels (e.g., 2023-W51) for a clearer, business-friendly timeline. For Last N weeks/months questions, Kaiya also renders a proper time-series line chart.

  5. In Vizpads, resolved an issue where the “Vizpad is loading…” progress bar remained visible after applying filters and when charts had finished loading.

  6. Fixed an issue where the Kaiya conversation window did not scroll properly in longer chats.
