After connecting to the data source, Tellius captures the metadata details of source like the columns and their data types. You can browse through the metadata and change some of its properties for some specific requirements. 

To ensure the best results and recommendations from Tellius, we highly encourage your to clean your data along with organizing the level of importance and ranking before performing any analysis. This helps Tellius understand your data better and provides results accordingly.

In Feature type, you can change the column type from Categorical to Continuous and vice versa.

In statistics,

  • Categorical variable is a variable that can take on one of a limited, and usually fixed, number of possible values. Examples of categorical variables are race, sex, age group, and educational level.
  • A Continuous variable, as the name suggest is a random variable that assumes all the possible values in continuity. It can take any value within the given range. Examples of continuous variables are weight and height. 
  1. On the dataset Edit page, click the column header and select Feature Type > Categorical or Feature Type > Continuous.
