Embedded Filters

Hardik Chheda Updated by Hardik Chheda

Tellius provides special chart types called controls. These controls act as filters embedded into a Vizpad.

After adding the required filter conditions, you can check the global filter area where the selected values are added as filter conditions.

You can add the following controls as embedded filters.

List

With this filter, you can select a column that you want to use as a filter. You can specify different values for the selected column and observe the changes to all charts in the Vizpad.

Click the drop-down list and select the required column. For example, country. The list filter box displays the Search field to enter the value for the selected column. For example, GERMANY.

When you enter a value in the Search field, the list automatically displays the matching values with check box to select the value. You can search different values (one after another) and select them to apply to the Vizpad.

In the list control, click the gear icon at the top-right corner to view options for the control.

Show the list

This option displays the list of all values for the selected filter column. For example, for the Country column, it displays all available countries.

Select All

This option selects all values from the selected filter column. For example, for the Country column, it selects all available values.

Slider

You can add a slider control as filter control in your Vizpad. With this filter, you can select a column that you want to use as a filter. You can specify different values for the selected column and observe the changes all charts in the Vizpad.

The Slider control consists of a scale, which is defined by the Minimum and Maximum properties, and a "thumb". You can use this thumb to move on the scale and manipulate the charts in the Vizpad.

After you add the slider, you can click the gear icon and select the filter conditions that you want to apply to the selected column to generate the scale.

Once you generate the scale, you can move the pointers on the slider to update the charts as per the scale range.
