Patch 5.5.2.1

The version 5.5.2.1 delivers targeted fixes and usability improvements across Kaiya, Vizpads, Insights, Business Views, Data Pipelines, and Connectors. It resolves key issues with queries, filters, aggregations, and exports while improving accuracy in results, chart handling, and workflow reliability. Users will notice smoother query responses in Kaiya, more consistent behavior in Vizpads (filters, summaries, exports, and aggregations), corrected error handling in multi-fact joins, and better stability for datasets, pipelines, and connectors like Snowflake and PostgreSQL.

🛠️ Minor fixes

  1. Under Settings → Users & Groups → Groups, increased group name limit from 40 to 255 characters (create/edit now validate and save up to 255).

  2. Under Data → Business Views, fixed an issue where dynamic match (calculated) columns were not retained correctly after publishing the Business View.

  3. In Vizpads, CSV export for detail tables (including resolution and function units) now works reliably without row or formatting issues.

  4. In Vizpads, Kaiya-generated tab summaries now generate correctly even when Text and Image charts are included, ensuring summaries work across all chart types.

  5. For Spark JDBC and PostgreSQL connectors, table search now correctly filters results even when more than 400 tables are present and advanced URL options are enabled, ensuring faster lookup across large datasets.

  6. In Vizpads, Unique Count aggregation now works for row-level calculated columns in dedup-enabled Business Views on both Snowflake and Redshift. Median aggregation is supported with dedup on Snowflake (not applicable for Redshift).

  7. Under Data → Refresh Pipelines, fixed an issue where renaming a refresh pipeline did not reflect correctly across the system.

  8. In Vizpads, fixed an issue where cloned control filters and charts continued to display values from the old column after swapping or removing columns; cloned filters now refresh correctly to show updated values.

  9. In Kaiya, fixed an issue where queries with date-based comparisons might fail due to column consistency checks.

  10. Fixed an issue where disabled modules under Settings → Advanced → Modules were still visible in the side bar.

  11. In Vizpads, fixed an issue where the “Include Nulls” setting was not applied correctly in group-by operations.

  12. Fixed an issue in Kaiya’s Manage Learning section so that only measures now populate as input boxes when creating or editing learning phrases and queries.

  13. In Kaiya, creating Trend and Comparison insights for Live BVs is now supported.

  14. Resolved an issue where Snowflake OAuth and key-pair based connections failed during dataset load, preventing users from searching or loading tables.

  15. In Vizpads, resolved an issue where sorting did not work correctly in stacked bar charts when using report-level measures or measures from different fact tables in Sort by.

  16. Fixed an issue where Tellius redirected to the error page for all API failures. It now redirects only when the configuration call fails, while other API errors are handled gracefully.

  17. In Vizpads, fixed an issue where range slider control filters were not working properly.

  18. In Kaiya, fixed an issue where queries with conditions on descriptive values (like “below market value” or “all models”) were not processed correctly, causing errors or skipped filters.

  19. In Kaiya conversations, fixed issues where filters on measure columns were incorrectly passed during post-processing, causing errors.

  20. Kaiya agentic workflows cannot be saved or published if saving fails, and the “Test in Playground” and “Publish” options are disabled when a trigger is not provided.

  21. In Kaiya, fixed issue where time filters were mistakenly applied to non-date columns. Now it will either switch to a valid date column or ask for clarification instead of failing.

  22. In Vizpads, fixed an issue where Top/Bottom limits from queries were ignored when multiple dimensions were included.

  23. Fixed an issue where indexing for Live Datasets and Business Views failed by attempting to resolve the entire dataset, so indexing now runs efficiently on the intended scope only.

  24. In Kaiya, improved handling of time period queries to correctly interpret phrases like “each quarter in 2024” as annual ranges (2024), reducing unnecessary clarification prompts.

  25. In Kaiya, fixed issues where resultant queries sometimes missed key details like metric aggregation. Now metrics are always included by using default metrics from Business View descriptions and additional metadata context during query creation.

  26. In Kaiya, fixed issues where queries specifying only a time resolution (such as quarterly scores) but no explicit grouping caused errors. Kaiya now drops the empty group-by clause and directly applies the time resolution (quarterly, monthly, yearly, etc.) to structure the analysis correctly.

  27. In Kaiya, fixed issues where ambiguous filter values incorrectly triggered unnecessary clarifications, by improving how columns and values are identified so that clarifications are only requested when truly needed.

  28. In Vizpads, fixed an issue where multi-select filters on boolean fields did not show True or False and caused errors when clicking the “Apply” button.

  29. In Kaiya Learnings, fixed issues where some labels in the Intent setup window displayed system text instead of the proper description.

  30. In Kaiya, improved comparison filtering so both sides use the same dimension and existing primary filters are preserved, ensuring queries like “SoFi vs Robinhood” keep the intended context and return consistent results.

  31. In Insights and Vizpads, fixed an issue where Market Share showed incorrect values when using column-level calculated measures; calculations now work correctly across normal measures, row-level and column-level calculated columns, quick calculations, and target measures.

  32. In Vizpads, fixed the issue where multi-fact join error messages always included a note about deduplication being disabled, even when it was enabled. Now the deduplication note only appears if deduplication is actually turned off.

  33. Under Data → Prepare → Data, corrected the alignment of the Add Operation in the data pipeline, ensuring proper spacing between nodes.

  34. Fixed issue where measure columns in Kaiya search inspector were not showing the applied aggregation, ensuring that aggregation details (e.g., sum, avg, count) are now correctly displayed.

  35. In Kaiya Learnings, fixed issue where the intent addition warning (prompting users to add an intent) was incorrectly shown for all non-chart results; this warning is now shown only for charts.
