Patch 5.6.1.1
In this patch, we’ve focused on enhancing stability, consistency, and usability across Kaiya, Vizpads, and core settings. Key improvements include fixes to conditional formatting in Pivot Tables, more accurate handling of relative time filters, and better management of chart resolutions. We’ve also streamlined dataset copy and indexing workflows, refined chart and filter behavior in Kaiya, and resolved several visual and formatting inconsistencies.
🛠️ Minor fixes
In Vizpads, we’ve improved how conditional formatting works in Pivot Tables to address cases where colors were not being applied correctly.
Colors now render properly on all relevant cells, including edge cases like “last before” visualizations.
Conditional formatting now correctly applies to row and column dimensions in pivot tables, not just measures.
Issues where conditions were misinterpreted (e.g., wrong operator or missing dimensions) have been fixed, ensuring rules apply as expected.
Resolved an issue where table validation for custom calendars was not working for Amazon Redshift and SparkSQL connections.
In Kaiya, improved the empty state messaging on the Learnings page for better clarity.
In Vizpads, sorting on date columns now works consistently across all resolutions (Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly, etc.) in pivot tables.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue where you applied multiple calculations (like moving average, absolute change, etc.) on the same metric in a line chart, renaming one legend would incorrectly rename all of them.
Fixed an issue where Trend Insights were incorrectly showing an extra $ symbol in the top header for target measures.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where, with market share aggregations, applying multiple filters could drop one of the comparison filters.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where measure and dimension filters were shown together in the same pill. Now, filters are displayed separately for measures and dimensions, with their aggregation type in the chart title.
In Kaiya and Search, chart titles and the search inspector will no longer display the default aggregation unless explicitly chosen.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where filter clarification sometimes chose the wrong column, ensuring the correct one is now applied automatically.
In Kaiya, added support for Year-to-Date (YTD) filters in queries, making it easy to analyze sales and performance from the start of the year up to today.
Fixed design and text size inconsistencies in Kaiya and Insights results page.
In Kaiya, titles and filters in Top/Bottom analysis within each dimension now display correctly.
Under Data → Connect → Refresh → Schedule a refresh, the time picker field now correctly displays hours, leaves minutes unselected, and highlights AM/PM when loaded. It also auto-scrolls to the current time for a smoother user experience.
In Vizpads, fixed duplicate rows appearing in Advanced pivot tables when measures are added as rows with column and row totals enabled.
In Vizpads, fixed conditional formatting issues where applying formatting to a new measure would remove formatting from previously set measures.
In Kaiya, when users click Reset Context, Kaiya now re-sends the last query as a fresh request (without prior context) instead of sending a “forget” message.
In Vizpads, charts in View Mode now correctly revert to their original resolution when switching back to Default.
Under Data → Dataset → Make a Copy, simplified the layout of the window, improved partial copy handling with radio buttons, and added inline validation.
In the date picker window, fixed relative time filter calculations to ensure accurate results when using the Include Current Day/Week/Month/Quarter option. Date ranges for “This,” “Last,” and “Last to Last” selections are now consistent across all time units (days, weeks, months, quarters), including Last Month to Date, Last Quarter to Date, and Next Year.
Under Settings → Application Settings → Dimension Indexing, provided support for configuring the maximum indexed value in the “Enhanced index limit” field.
