Patch 5.6.1
The 5.6.1 patch delivers targeted fixes and usability improvements across Vizpads, Kaiya, Insights, and core data workflows to ensure smoother analysis, accurate results, and more consistent user experiences. It also enhances performance, improves export reliability, and polishes the UI with better alignment, tooltips, and responsive layouts.
🛠️ Minor fixes
Under Data → Business Views → Calculated Columns, fixed an issue where publishing a dataset would incorrectly remove Dynamic Match calculated columns from Business Views.
In Vizpads, resolved an issue where Cohort Charts occasionally displayed an “Invalid configuration” message despite correct setup.
In comparison Insights, fixed an issue where colors were incorrectly highlighted for cohorts A and B. Colors now correctly reflect the cohort with the higher value, even when overall values are negative.
In Vizpads, resolved a problem where exporting a pivot table (with only row dimensions and measures, and no additional columns) to Excel could fail if the Vizpad was not shared and was opened by a superuser.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where aggregated measure filters could become inconsistent after query rewrite.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where applying filters with very large threshold values (e.g., billions) could cause inconsistencies in query results.
In Vizpads, resolved an issue where filter values were incorrectly merging into a single pill.
In all listing pages across Tellius, improved responsiveness for tables, ensuring consistent layouts on different screen sizes and when fewer columns are displayed.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where certain Business View columns with missing type information could cause AI explainable charts to fail.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where charts could appear empty when switching between tabs and entering edit mode, particularly if a chart had been saved in edit mode and a date filter was later applied in view mode.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where conditional formatting could become misaligned when switching from one chart type to another.
Fixed the following issues under Manage Feeds where:
Metric display names were not sometimes shown under the Measure column.
When no metrics were available, a user-friendly message will be now displayed.
Excess empty space appeared when only a few metrics were listed, making the layout inconsistent.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where applying Top/Bottom filters to time or date columns and applying marketshare filters did not deliver intended results.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where monthly time filters were not being applied correctly in certain queries.
Under Data → Prepare → Data, fixed an issue where renaming a dataset would fail if transformations were already applied.
Under Kaiya → Manage Learnings, the window where you provide intent and mapping has been redesigned to provide a more intuitive layout.
Across Tellius, fixed the issue where filters applied on row-level columns are not working in scenarios where columns originate from a single table (non-deduplication case).
Under Data → Connect, fixed an issue with searching for tables in BigQuery.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where exporting CSV files from detail tables could fail when resolution units or function-based columns were applied.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where queries did not consistently pick up the correct date column specified by the user.
Improved Vizpad performance to ensure charts load faster and respond more smoothly when creating, editing, or switching between them.
In Vizpads, resolved an issue where, after renaming a custom view, the "Save View Changes" dropdown continued to display the old name.
When a query in Kaiya returns no data due to applied filters, users will now see the active filter pills displayed on the screen.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where long custom view names caused misalignment in the Save View Changes dropdown.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where the selected resolution did not reset correctly when switching between master and custom views.
In Kaiya, improved Top/Bottom ranking behavior so that null values are no longer considered. Nulls are now automatically placed at the end of the ranking order.
Under Data → Prepare, resolved an issue where, after deleting a dataset or data source, dependent objects were still displayed in the interface until the page was refreshed.
In Kaiya, enhanced the way analytic queries are standardized and processed, ensuring more accurate results and smoother handling of complex requests.
Improved the Tellius homepage and Kaiya experience by aligning card heights, fixing spacing inconsistencies, and correcting widget sizing.
Improved the loading spinner behavior to display more consistently across devices and screen sizes.
In Kaiya, added validation so “Top/Bottom” rankings can only be applied when a measure is selected.
Improved handling of market share–based queries in Kaiya to ensure the correct filters are always applied, delivering more accurate results.
In Kaiya, improved the Agent Workflow interface by addressing design and layout issues for a smoother experience. Updates include fixing alignment, spacing, and sizing problems.
Under Data → Dataset, fixed styling issues in the Delete Dataset flow and aligned the UI with the latest design guidelines.
Under Data → Business View → Data, users can now see representative sample values for each column in datasets and Business Views.
Fixed the LDAP login process to ensure that authentication strictly applies to users with LDAP credentials.
Under Kaiya → Manage Learnings, Intent and Mappings now auto-resize to fit content within their parent, never overflow, and show ellipses with tooltips when text is too long.
Across Tellius, tooltips now automatically appear when text is truncated with ellipses (for both single-line or multi-line) ensuring users can always view the full content by hovering.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where, when downloading a table with Compare conditions applied, columns were not fully included in CSV exports.
In Insights, resolved an issue where the Segment tab was sometimes disabled even when Deep Dive mode was selected.
In Vizpads, resolved an issue where users were unable to resize tables after opening and closing the table comment popup.
Under Data → Connect → Custom SQL, fixed the Custom SQL workflow so that clicking a table name or its copy icon now reliably copies the table name to the clipboard.
In datasets and Business View creation flow, fixed permissions so that users with a View role can no longer see options to create or edit.
In Vizpads, improved the way Tellius manages background processes and service calls, ensuring faster responses and greater stability.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where the “Include Zero Values” option did not work for tables.
In Kaiya, resolved an issue where dimension filters were incorrectly treated as time filters and invalidated.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where query interpretation could override original column values. Now, when the detected column name and value already match, the system respects them without further clarification.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where changing the calculation type in Moving Calculations reset the window size to its default internally but did not update the displayed values.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where Explainable AI charts (factors view) sometimes failed to generate due to serialization errors.
In Kaiya, resolved an issue where queries could incorrectly apply multiple filters for the same value.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue where font size changes made in the Text Formatting settings for Rich KPI charts were not being applied to the chart display.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where queries with multiple filters (such as brand, sub-category, numeric ranges, and time periods) could fail to run.
In Insights, resolved an offset problem where objects in list view did not align correctly with the default filters.
Resolved Spark OOM issues when running multiple Insights concurrently by optimizing memory handling and preventing interruptions.
Under Data → Prepare → Data → Data type transform, you can now set the Long data type for measure fields directly, supporting large integer values beyond standard integer range.
Fixed an issue where Feed → Go to Feed breakout results were not sorting as expected. Sorting now works consistently across all modes. When no sort is selected, results are shown by most recently updated.
In Kaiya, fixed an issue where, when asking questions that include dimensions or measures, they were incorrectly applied as filters instead of being recognized as metadata instructions.
In Vizpads, updated the global and local filter pills display to show the full column name, preventing text clipping and overflow issues.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where filters with Top/Bottom N were not retaining the marketshare filter when a measure column condition was applied.
Time filters now automatically use your timezone across Vizpads, Insights, and Kaiya, so phrases like “last week” or “this WTD” return the correct local dates.
Fixed an issue where filters passed from Insights were not displayed in Vizpad if the associated Business View was inactive. Filters now correctly appear once the Business View is active.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where null sorting (Include Nulls) was not working for data imported from live connectors. Added support and validation for Redshift and BigQuery, in addition to the previously supported Snowflake.
Under Settings → Application Settings → Time Configuration → Add Custom Calendar, fixed validation issues in custom calendar configuration where invalid inputs (e.g., exceeding name length, duplicate calendar names, incorrect date ranges) will now be addressed with relevant error messages.
