Patch 5.6.1.2
Tellius 5.6.1.2 focuses on correctness, consistency, and observability across Tellius. Vizpads now honor display names end-to-end (labels, tooltips, filters), block duplicate filters, surface clearer performance stats, apply conditional formatting reliably, enforce a 300-series guardrail, and keep PDF exports faithful to what you see. In addition, we fixed a set of minor issues across the stack to further improve consistency throughout Tellius.
🛠️ Minor fixes
In Vizpads, fixed the issue with adding measures to KPI charts.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue where the query processing (Time take for query analysis etc.) breakdown was missing in Query time breakdown window.
In Vizpads, fixed display names not updating after adding a column to a field in the Configuration pane. Renamed fields now appear correctly in chart labels, filter pills, and Configuration fields.
Under Data → Prepare → Business View → Included Datasets, fixed the issue that prevented switching to other datasets from the sidebar list.
Under Settings → Advanced → Modules, moved the Assistant module alongside other modules. The Assistant will not be visible across Tellius when it is disabled.
In the Monitor page, improved system health metrics for consistent, accurate CPU/RAM and storage utilization across all environments.
Under Notifications → Job Details, restored “Take Action” for dataset refresh failures caused by removed columns.
In Vizpads, fixed the issues with resizing and pinning columns of pivot tables when pagination is enabled across pages in both View and Edit modes.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue with triggering Dynamic Metric Match after adding a column. It now re-evaluates and picks the correct field for the chart and summary.
In Insights and Vizpads, fixed errors when date fields use Business View display names (aliases), ensuring compatibility with deduplication across single- and multi-table views.
In the View mode (Default View) of Vizpads view mode, the “Save View Changes” prompt appears (and the Overwrite “Master View” will be disabled) when switching tabs if there are unsaved edits.
In the conditional formatting of Vizpads, when the Viz Config is used for the value type column, Lowest Granularity (all dimensions included) will be auto-applied, and the checkbox will be locked by default.
In Kaiya, fixed comparison charts to show the correct measure-filter pill for each series so they stay synced to their selected measure.
In Kaiya, fixed rewritten queries picking the wrong filters; filters now stay consistent with the user request and apply correctly to results.
Across Tellius, the Share dialog for Insights, Vizpads, etc., now displays the correct access level; the message matches the selected permission (View/Edit).
In Vizpads, fixed report errors caused by invalid sort settings on date fields; sort-by is now validated against date granularity in saved visuals, so summaries render reliably in View mode.
Under Kaiya → Manage Learnings, non-admin/super users can no longer edit or delete system-level Learnings; controls are disabled with an explanatory message.
In Vizpads (both View and Edit modes), fixed the issue where formatting wasn’t updated when Summary is enabled—axis titles/labels and legend settings now persist consistently.
Under Data → Refresh Pipelines, fixed the issue with refreshing S3-imported datasets; S3 nodes now support scheduled and manual refreshes in mixed-source pipelines.
In Kaiya, fixed the issue where the preamble failed to render correctly on the first question.
In Search, when a query fails, you now immediately see an error message and the loading stops so you can quickly understand what went wrong and retry or fix the query right away.
In Vizpads → Conditional Formatting, the Value field (in filter) now handles large dimensions: it shows the first 300 values and, as you search, it displays matches beyond the first 300.
In Kaiya, comparison queries that use aggregated measure filters now return correct results—filters are applied to each time period independently (e.g., Jan-2025 vs Dec-2024), so the chart and counts match expectations.
In Feed with Drilldown measures across dimensions, fixed the layout so the description text no longer overlaps the Show Insight / Generate Insight buttons.
In Vizpads, Formatting → Values Alignment now works for dimension columns: text and date fields in Table, Detail Table, and Pivot Table can be left/center/right-aligned correctly, and the setting persists in Views and exports.
In Vizpads, after you rename a custom view and click Save View Changes → Overwrite <view name>, the new title now updates instantly across the page.
Feed alerts with a breakdown dimension now trigger correctly—date detection picks the latest two time buckets that actually have measure values (instead of the dataset’s max dates), so comparisons/thresholds evaluate properly and insights appear as expected.
Under Data → Dataset → Swap datasource, redesigned “Swap Datasource” window: cleaner UI and improved schema/connection compatibility checks.
In Vizpads → Advanced Analytics → Benchmark, when you change a chart’s configuration (chart type, measures, dimensions, or axes), any benchmarks that no longer apply are automatically removed. Compatible benchmarks are re-validated and kept; incompatible (stale) target lines are cleared so you don’t see incorrect references.
When a user has no datasets or Business Views, clicking Explore now opens the Vizpads empty state with Create New Vizpad and (role-gated) Import Vizpad actions.
In Kaiya, upgraded natural-language search with intent-based query understanding and seeded-query rewriting, so requests like top/bottom, time comparisons, and threshold filters return more accurate results with fewer tweaks.
Kaiya understands “Last Year/Quarter/Month/… aligned” and now applies the time window using your date measure alignment mapping configured in Business Views.
In Vizpads, when a Line or Combo (Bar/Line) chart would plot more than 300 series, we now show an error message instead of attempting to render: “Sorry, your chart exceeds the maximum limit of 300 lines.” To fix, reduce series by removing Color By/Stacked, adding filters, or limiting rows.
When a mapped measure or date column is deleted from a Business View, any Date Mapping entries that referenced it are now removed automatically.
In Data, fixed the issue where after renaming a dataset, the new name now updates instantly on the Prepare page.
Under Data → Business View, you can now assign or unassign Country/State/City/County/ZIP from the column menu; the Special Type will be highlighted in bold, and ZIP is supported in Business View page (in addition to Metadata).
Under Data → Refresh Pipelines → Add Business View, resolved an issue where Add to Pipeline button was missing in the dropdown to select Business Views.
In Vizpads, tooltips of charts will now show the field’s Display Name instead of the column name.
When creating Vizpad charts from Insights, we now block duplicate filters: adding the same column again within the same scope & BV triggers an “already exists” warning, while adding it in a different scope (Tab/Global) is allowed.
When applying conditional formatting on Donut and Pie charts in Vizpads, we fixed an issue where choosing a Relative Value (alone or combined with Fixed Value) for the Not Between condition disabled the Apply button.
In Vizpads, resolved the layout issue where charts could appear differently in PDF exports when summaries were included.
