Patches 5.6.1.3 and 5.6.1.4
These patches sharpen reliability and correctness across Vizpads, Kaiya, and core services. In Vizpads, control-filter interactions and chart updates have been refined for consistency; Excel exports now include accurate table and pivot-table totals; and time comparisons respect aligned calendar periods.
Patch 5.6.1.3
Resolved an error that blocked creating trend Insights on live Business Views with deduplication enabled when the target metric was a column-level calculated field.
In Vizpads, cloning a Vizpad (or a tab) that contains control filters no longer creates duplicate filters when you change values or switch tabs and save. A single filter per scope (tab/global) is preserved in the cloned Vizpad.
Resolved an intermittent error that could show “Something went wrong” when rapidly switching between Kaiya conversations.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue where totals in table/pivot table were not included in Excel exports.
In Vizpads, improved reliability for combo charts—changes like Include Nulls, Dual Axis, or Bulk Apply made while results are loading are now queued and rendered once data is ready, ensuring smooth updates.
Under Settings → Users & Groups → Groups, fixed a layout issue where the side panel of Groups could overlapped with the Users list.
In Kaiya, improved the handling of no-data results with a relevant message.
In Vizpads, fixed an issue where clicking on “Revert Changes” for a single select control filter caused the chart to refresh twice.
We optimized the query path so repeated requests reuse cached dataset metadata and skip redundant hops, reducing per-request overhead. Expect faster responses and higher throughput—especially during iterative analysis.
Improved query responses, so Vizpads display/apply time ranges correctly; also improved concurrency for faster performance under load.
In the conditional formatting section of Vizpads, improved the message displayed to denote every conditional formatting rule, especially when using “Between/Not Between”, “Not starts with/Not ends with” and when using measures from the Tooltip field.
In Vizpads, fixed the time-comparison filters of Percentage Change to use aligned calendar months/weeks/quarters/years.
Fixed an issue where deleting a resource (datasource, dataset, Vizpad, Insight, refresh pipeline, or Model) didn’t remove its scheduled refresh or related jobs.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue where conditional formatting couldn’t be applied to dimension columns in pivot tables.
Resolved an issue where newly created users could see errors right after provisioning.
Patch 5.6.1.4
Under Settings → Embed Vizpad → Enable Row-Level Policy: if RLP is enabled but no policy is provided, you’ll see an error message prompting you to add one; if RLP is disabled, you’ll be informed and the Vizpad loads normally.
In Kaiya, the CSV export option now appears only for table results that support downloads.
In Kaiya, fixed the issue with the immediate display of data labels on charts for complex questions.
In Kaiya, fixed the issue with date mapping for percentage-change questions.
In Vizpads → Pivot tables → Conditional formatting, fixed thresholds so min/max respect filters and the selected measure, and totals format consistently with the rest of the table.
For pivot tables in Vizpads, the formatting panel now shows options that only apply to pivots. If you’ve placed a date field in the row area, it now appears in the formatting picker. When you format a dimension, we automatically use the lowest level (and include its parent levels) so the highlight is consistent across the hierarchy. Tooltips in this dialog were polished for clarity. Labels now accurately reflect operators (Between/Not Between, Not starts with/Not ends with, and In/Not in) so the rule reads exactly how it behaves.
In Vizpads, fixed the issue with selecting the “Last year to date” time filter; now the filter exactly matches the behavior of other relative date options.
Improved resilience in Vizpads: if a network connection is interrupted mid-load, queries automatically retry with incremental backoff (up to three attempts) to complete rendering.
For pivot tables in Vizpads, fixed the issue with the display of row totals and the overall grand total especially when a Dynamic Match measure is used.
Under Data → Connect, fixed an issue where the table list didn’t populate automatically when editing a data source.
Improved reliability of dataset and Business View indexing across publish and re-index actions—operations now complete consistently with built-in resiliency.
